Candidate, Derek Sloan
Ontario Party, Hastings-Lennox and Addington, ON
Bio
CLC rating: Pro-life, pro-family
Rating Comments: Derek has been an outspoken and courageous advocate for the sanctity of life, family values, free speech and religious freedom since he became a Conservative MP in the 2019 federal election.
As a contestant in the 2020 Conservative Party of Canada Leadership race, Derek ran on explicitly pro-life and pro-family platform. He was fraudulently booted from the Conservative caucus by then-party leader Erin O'Toole, based on trumped up charges.
In December 2021, Derek became the leader of the Ontario Party in order to bring socially conservative values back to provincial politics in the June 2022 Ontario provincial election. As well was being party leader, Derek is also the Ontario Party candidate in the riding of Hastings-Lennox and Addington, which is the same ridng he held as a federal MP.
