CLC rating: Pro-abortion, anti-parental rights
Rating Comments: Shandi Strong is a biological male who is living under a female persona, calling himself a "transgendered woman". Therefore, it can reasonably be presumed that he supports imposing the philosophy of "gender identity" on Manitoba school children which teaches that being a boy or a girl is merely a "social construct" unrelated to one's bodily reality, and determined solely by how a person "feels" in their mind at any given time. Mr. Strong did not fill in CLC's 2016 questionnaire. However, during the 2016 Manitoba provincial election cycle, the Office of the Leader of Manitoba’s Liberal Party sent a statement to CLC which claims to represent the beliefs of all Liberal Party candidates and MLAs. The statement suggests that all Manitoba Liberal candidates support the legalized killing of preborn children, as well as forcing taxpayers to finance those killings with public money.  Furthermore, it implies that all Liberal candidates will oppose legislation that would protect the conscience rights of doctors and other health care workers, for example, in being able to refuse to participate in abortion, or to give referrals for abortion.  The statement also suggests that every Liberal candidate opposes the fundamental right of parents to withdraw their children from classroom lessons which contradict their religious and moral values in the area of marriage and human sexuality.
Percentage in last election: 8.5% (2016)
Victory margin last election: -32.9% (2016)
Religion / Faith: Unknown
