MLA Kelli Paddon
New Democrat Party, Chilliwack-Cultus Lake, BC
Bio
In 1995, the NDP passed an anti-protest "bubble zone" law to prevent pro-life demonstrations, prayer, and sidewalk counselling in front of abortuaries. In 2001, the provincial NDP called for increased funding for the training of abortionists; enhanced access to abortifacient morning-after pills; and increased fees for abortionists.
Not satisfied with the killing of children by abortion, the BC NDP government has in recent years imposed a medical homicide regime through one of the most aggressive and ruthless euthanasia policies in the country, even seizing - in typical socialist fashion - the real estate of religious and palliative care institutions who refuse to kill their patients and building euthanasia death centers on this stolen property.
To top off its campaign of hatred for the human race, the BC NDP is also radically opposed to traditional family values. Its constitution includes a "Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgendered Caucus" within the party.

Bill M 214, "The Fairness In Women & Girls' Sports Act" BC Conservative Party leader John Rustad introduced a private member's bill that rightly sought to keep biological males out of women's and girls' sports teams, and to rein in pro-transgender sporting associations that punish whistleblowers for trying to prevent this invasion of female sports. Here are quotes from Kelli Paddon on various life and family issues:
On the topic of abortion, Ms. Paddon, the NDP’s Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity, released a statement and made a post on social media denouncing a comment in the legislature by Conservative MLA Bruce Banman where he praised mothers and acknowledged that life begins at conception: “At a time when reproductive rights are being ripped away in the United States, it’s extremely concerning to see a B.C. Conservative MLA using anti-choice dog-whistles on the floor of the legislature. British Columbians deserve to know John Rustad’s personal position, as well as hear a clear commitment that he will not allow any B.C. Conservative MLAs or candidates to oppose access to a safe and legal abortion or reproductive health.” [X (formerly known as Twitter) & CTVNewsVancouver.ca, May 9, 2024] I was shocked to hear @BruceBanman define motherhood as starting "from the moment of conception" yesterday. With reproductive rights under attack on the front lawn of the legislature at this moment, people deserve a clear commitment from John Rustad to defend the right to choose. pic.twitter.com/8KjsIa0j1x
Adding a melodramatic, sloganeering flourish to her anti-life speech supporting her NDP government's enactment of the taxpayer funding of contraceptives: "We can’t be silent. We must be clear in our support for reproductive rights. I hope that we can all speak together in one voice on this topic today. Access to contraceptives is a right. Abortion is health care." [Hansard, Legislative Assembly of BC, March 6, 2023]
