Candidate, Cody Botelho
Cambridge Mayor, ON
Bio
CLC rating: Pro-family, Anti-drugs, Unknown on abortion
Rating Comments: Botelho took a strong stand against the City of Cambridge painting divisive and ideologically-motivated LGBT "rainbow crosswalks" on city streets.
He has also been a vocal critic of the community-destroying, addiction-enabling drug injection site which has been proposed for 150 Main Street in Cambridge by the woke, current Mayor and most City Councilors. The wreckless and short-sighted proposal would establish what is basically a government-run crack house where addicts can shoot up heroin, smoke crack, snort cocaine, take crystal meth, fentanyl and other hard drugs, thus enabling their addiction instead of attempting to cure it. This will result in massive spikes in crime, the further breakdown of families, and most tragic of all, human lives, either by overdose or violent crime.

Question | Response |
---|---|
Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions. Given that abortion is a controversial practice that many taxpayers in your municipality find abhorrent, do you agree that PP and similar “sexual health agencies" should not receive taxpayer funds through the municipality? | no response |
Do you acknowledge that human life begins at conception (fertilization)? | no response |
Do you consider yourself pro-life or pro-choice? | no response |
There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw? | no response |
