Bio

CLC rating: Pro-abortion, anti-traditional marriage
Rating Comments: Mr. Stewart resigned his seat as an NDP MP in Parliament to run (successfully) for Mayor of Vancouver in the October 2018 BC municipal elections.

The official NDP policy is pro-abortion and supports taxpayer funding of abortions. Stewart responded to CLC's 2011 questionnaire describing himself as "pro-choice". In 2012, as an MP, this anti-science politician voted against Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being based on the preponderance of evidence from modern medical science. He also voted in favour of the reckless, transgender 'Bathroom Bill' (C-279) which, if passed, would put young girls and women at risk by creating a fake 'right' for men to access women's bathrooms and changerooms.

Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions. No (based on voting record as MP)
Do you acknowledge that human life begins at conception (fertilization)? Unknown (based on voting record as MP)
Do you consider yourself pro-life or pro-choice? Pro-choice (based on voting record as MP)
