Rating Comments: On June 20, 2023, Trustee Turner voted against a common sense Motion that would have banned the use of partisan and special-interest flags, banners, and other paraparaphernalia from being displayed by the NCDSB. The Motion was put forward at the very time that the notorious homosexual / transgender Pride Flag was flying in the Board, and its passage would have ended the scandalous domination of Pride over the NCDSB. Nevertheless, six out of the eight Board trustees voted against the Motion, thus permitting the sin-laden Pride Flag to continue holding sway over the Board.

In May 2021, Trustee Turner betrayed the duties of a Catholic trustee to uphold the Faith when he voted in favour of an outlandish, anti-Catholic motion to fly the homosexual Pride flag at the Catholic Education Centre and all Catholic secondary schools in the Niagara board (see Votes tab).

Here is Paul Turner's voting record relating to life and family issues:

Votes, Surveys and Policy Decision Vote Score
Motion to fly the Gay Pride flag at school board headquarters
In total opposition to Catholic doctrine, this motion sought to ensure that the Gay Pride flag would be flown at School Board Headquarters.
Supported bad
Motion to fly the Gay Pride flag at various Catholic schools in the board
In total opposition to Catholic doctrine, this motion sought to ensure that the Gay Pride flag would be flown at various Catholic schools in the board.
Supported bad
Motion to cancel a fellow Trustee for being faithful to Catholic teaching
This motion's intent was to weaponize the Board's Code of Conduct in a grossly anti-democratic fashion, for the purpose of silencing and punishing a fellow school board trustee for simply having defended the Catholic faith and for having dared to oppose anti-Christian secular ideology which was infiltrating the Catholic school board. In addition to undermining the very purpose of Catholic education, a vote in favor of this motion is doubly wrong because it effectively overturns the result of a democratic election in which Catholic ratepayers elected the persecuted trustee for the very purpose of vocally representing their values.
Supported bad
Motion that the NCDSB develop a Partisan, Political or Social Advocacy Activities Policy
This principled Motion by faithful Catholic Trustee Natalia Benoit would have banned the display of partisan, political, or social policy-promoting flags, banners, posters, and other paraphernalia at the School Board. One of the immediate benefits of the Motion, had it passed, would have been to end the display of the anti-Catholic, homosexual / transgender Pride flag at the Board. Yet in spite of its merits, the common-sense Motion was defeated by a vote of 6 to 2 [June 20, 2023].
Opposed bad
Motion that the Niagara Catholic District School Board amend its Flag Flying Protocol to specify that the Pride Flag shall not be flown on school properties or district offices
This principled motion by faithful Catholic Trustee Natalia Benoit would have specifically banned the display of the homosexual / transgender Pride Flag at the Niagara Catholic District School Board. This motion was especially courageous and meritorious because it specifically singled out the odious, anti-Christian Pride Flag for exclusion from school board. Yet in spite of its merits, the common-sense motion was defeated by a vote of 5 to 2 [Oct. 22, 2024].
