Councillor Alicia Guichon
Delta, BC
Electoral District: At large
Bio
CLC rating: Not supportable
Rating Comments: Guichon served on the very same Delta City Council which viciously attacked the conscience rights of the pro-life Delta Hospice Society and demanded that it participate in the killing of patients. Ms. Guichon is running in the same party and on the same slate as George Harvie, the rabidly pro-euthanasia, anti-Christian Mayor of Delta. While she was on City Council, it voted to strip the non-profit Delta Hospice Society of its charitable status which allowed it not have to pay municipal property taxes, just as other charities dont have to. Now, the Delta Hospice Society is forced to pay a crippling $35,000 in property taxes annually on the Thrift Store it runs in town as a means of funding operations.

Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions, and increasingly, are involved in dispensing the chemical abortion pill. Given that abortion is a controversial practice that many taxpayers in your municipality find abhorrent, do you agree that PP and similar “sexual health agencies" should not receive taxpayer funds through the municipality? | survey not sent |
There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw? | survey not sent |
Do you acknowledge that human life begins at conception (fertilization)? | survey not sent |
Do you consider yourself pro-life or pro-choice? | survey not sent |
