Rating Comments: In November 2023, Deputy Mayor Jamaly spoke with CTV News on behalf of Westlock Town Council to express his support for an LGBT-painted crosswalk that had been installed during the summer, regurgitating the usual "inclusive" word-salad of political correctness by saying, "We thought it was a great opportunity for us to demonstrate we are an inclusive and welcoming community."
He failed to mention if any groups other than LGBT promoters had cross walks painted to promote their various interests.
In the same article, Jamaly clearly showed his biases even more flagrantly when he claimed that he and the all the Town Councillors believe in "equitable governance over neutral governance", and then equated the value of providing handicap-access parking spaces and snow clearing services at seniors' residences, on the one hand, with LGBT sex activism, on the other.
Jamaly ended his interview with the Orwellian idea that "what is equal isn't always fair, and what is fair isn't always equal."
