Emma Cunningham
Durham District School Board - ON
Electoral District: Pickering
Bio
CLC rating: Not Supportable
Rating Comments: In response to CLC's election survey, Cunningham stated "I’m not the type of trustee candidate you’re looking to endorse". She explained that she does not believe homosexuality is a controversial subject to teach in classrooms. She also believes in promoting contraception to teenagers in order to prevent pregnancy. Ironically, the contraceptive mentality already being taught in our schools and throughout society, is the root cause of abortion. On the question of whether parents have the inherent right of primacy in education of children, she said only that parents should be "aware about what their children are learning at school", but stopped short of affirming their primal authority in the education of children.
