MLA Bob D'Eith

New Democrat Party, Maple Ridge East, BC

Bio

Bob D'Eith
Not Supportable
CLC rating: Pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia, pro-LGBT ideology
Rating Comments: The BC NDP is officially pro-abortion. It was an NDP government in 1990 that forced all BC hospitals to provide abortion “services", even where the hospital board of directors had voted against doing so.

In 1995, the NDP passed an anti-protest "bubble zone" law to prevent pro-life demonstrations, prayer, and sidewalk counselling in front of abortuaries. In 2001, the provincial NDP called for increased funding for the training of abortionists; enhanced access to abortifacient morning-after pills; and increased fees for abortionists.

Not satisfied with the killing of children by abortion, the BC NDP government has in recent years imposed a medical homicide regime through one of the most aggressive and ruthless euthanasia policies in the country, even seizing - in typical socialist fashion - the real estate of religious and palliative care institutions who refuse to kill their patients and building euthanasia death centers on this stolen property.

To top off its campaign of hatred for the human race, the BC NDP is also radically opposed to traditional family values. Its constitution includes a "Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgendered Caucus" within the party.

Not Supportable
Bill M 214, "The Fairness In Women & Girls' Sports Act"
BC Conservative Party leader John Rustad introduced a private member's bill that rightly sought to keep biological males out of women's and girls' sports teams, and to rein in pro-transgender sporting associations that punish whistleblowers for trying to prevent this invasion of female sports. [Defeated at 1st Reading on April 30, 2024 by a vote of 51 to 27.]

Here are quotes from Bob D'Eith on various life and family issues:

Crowing over his NDP government's anti-life enactment of a policy to fund free contraceptives with taxpayers' money:  "As an ally for gender equity, I’m really proud of the work that our government has done in this area. For example, starting on April 1, British Columbia will be the first jurisdiction in Canada to make prescription birth control free to its residents... Including oral contraceptives, IUDs and plan B pills. Of course, male vasectomies were available for years. Go figure. It was wonderful to see our entire caucus and the women of the opposition cheer this announcement when it was made in the House. At a time when women’s reproductive rights are being challenged to the south and by certain Canadian parties, this move is a clear indication by our government that we support a woman’s right to control her own reproductive rights." [Hansard, Legislative Assembly of BC, March 6, 2023]

Will you support measures to stop funding abortions with taxpayers' money in British Columbia? No (based on party policy)

Will you support legislation to protect the right of health care workers who refuse to participate in procedures which are in violation of their religious or conscientious beliefs? No (based on party policy)
