Campaign Life Coalition supports motion to review when human life begins
TORONTO, Feb. 6, 2012 – Campaign Life Coalition supports Stephen Woodworth’s motion that calls on Parliament “to review the declaration in Subsection 223(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada which states that a child becomes a human being only at the moment of complete birth.”
“Campaign Life Coalition encourages the initiative of any MP who presents pro-life legislation,” said Jim Hughes, President of Campaign Life Coalition. “We support all legislation that protects children in the womb as long as it does not take on a gestational approach.”
“Scientific evidence is clear that life begins at conception,” said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer of Campaign Life Coalition. “We trust Parliament will recognize and protect all human life from conception to natural death.”
Campaign Life Coalition is urging supporters to contact their MP and tell them it’s time to recognize that the child in the womb is a human being worthy of their protection.
