To: Commissioner Mike Duheme
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Headquarters

We, the undersigned citizens of Canada, are writing to you with great concern regarding the deaths of babies born alive after failed abortions in our country. We believe that it is imperative for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to launch a thorough investigation into these apparent incidents of infant homicide to ensure justice is served and the legal rights of these innocent lives are respected.

A baby's birth is a moment of immense joy and love, as parents respond by immediately providing their newborn with the care, warmth, and protection they deserve. Regrettably, reliable data from Statistics Canada and the Canadian Institute for Health Information indicate that over the past 23 years, more than 1,500 babies have been born alive after botched abortions and seemingly left to die, without medical treatment, in regulated Canadian medical facilities.

These babies are considered "human beings" according to section 223(1) of the Criminal Code and are entitled to legal rights, including the right to life, liberty, and security of the person guaranteed by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It is distressing that the details surrounding the deaths of these born-alive babies remain unknown. We urge the RCMP to investigate these suspicious deaths and uncover the truth. The authority to conduct this investigation lies with the RCMP, and it is crucial that this matter be addressed promptly. Canadians deserve answers regarding what is happening to these vulnerable lives, and justice demands that those responsible for any crimes be held accountable for their actions.

We understand that your predecessor, Commissioner Rob Paulson, failed to acknowledge the severity of these claims in 2013. However, we believe that it is your duty as the current Commissioner of the RCMP to rectify this and initiate a thorough national criminal investigation. The protection of human rights and the well-being of all Canadians, especially those who are newly born, must be upheld.

The failure to investigate these alleged cases of homicide undermines public trust in the justice system and perpetuates a cycle of injustice. We implore the RCMP to set aside any ideological biases and prioritize the pursuit of justice in this matter. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that the rights and lives of these vulnerable infants are safeguarded.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We trust that you will act diligently in the interest of justice and prevent further born-alive newborn homicides.

Yours sincerely,

[ The Undersigned ]

The babies that were killed by wilful neglect, at medical facilities, are Canadian citizens and deserved the full protection of Canadian law and the RCMP. The failure by previous Commissioners to respond represents a massive breach of duty of care.
