Launch of new website: I am a human being.CA
TORONTO, Mar. 8, 2012 – Campaign Life Coalition today announces the launch of iamahumanbeing.ca. This new website is an educational tool that presents the scientific basis for why every human life should be protected from the time of conception to natural death. This new effort supports motion M-312, introduced by Conservative MP, Stephen Woodworth, Kitchener- Centre.
“This website confirms that what is already known but not yet acknowledged by Canadian law – that a child in the womb is a human being, from the moment of conception,” said Jim Hughes, President of Campaign Life Coalition. “This is not a matter of opinion or theory, this is scientific fact. It’s time our government updates the law which states that a child miraculously becomes a human being only at the moment of complete birth.”
Iamahumanbeing.ca contains images of human development and online videos of 3D ultrasounds that all depict the humanity of the pre-born child. The website also calls Canadians to action, to get involved in the political process and to contact their MP’s to encourage them to push for a “free vote” on M-312 in order to retain the integrity of Private Members’ business.
“Campaign Life Coalition fully supports efforts in Parliament that reflect modern-day medical science and provide legal protection for all human beings from conception to natural death,” said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer of Campaign Life Coalition.
