The NDP's women issues critic, Niki Ashton has proposed a motion to reopen the abortion debate.
Campaign Life Coalition's Youth division has set up a Twitter video campaign to lobby all MPs to vote against this abortion motion which, if successful, would see Parliament affirm abortion as 'a fundamental question of equality and human rights'.
M510 also seeks to funnel Canadian taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions in Africa, under the cover of Stephen Harper's MATERNAL HEALTH INITIATIVE. The Prime Minister has repeatedly stated that none of the Canadian money earmarked to the Maternal Health Initiative will be used to pay for abortions.
