SIGN THE PETITION - Keep Sun News on the air!

Sun News Network needs your help to succeed in its reapplication to the CRTC for a “mandatory carriage” license, so that it can compete on a level playing field with CTV, CBC, CNN and Global. Without it, Sun News will be forced to close its doors. Due to an unfair licensing situation, the other networks have favourable channel placements on the TV dial and are included in basic cable packages. Sun TV on the other hand, is only available in 4 out of 10 homes and where available, its channel placement on the dial is very hard to find.

Please do the following before the CRTC submission deadline of February 20, 2013:

1. Sign your name to an online petition to the CRTC Commissioner requesting that it grant SNN a must-carry license. Sign the petition at www.canadiantvfirst.ca.

2. Snail mail the CRTC before Feb 20th:

Begin your letter stating either: (a) 'I do not request to appear at the public hearing'; or (b) 'I request to appear at the public hearing'.  Include reference #2012-0687-1 in your letter.

3. Encourage your friends to do the same.
