Recall Petition for BC Minister of Education Rachna Singh
A petition has been launched to recall the NDP Minister of Education for British Columbia, Rachna Singh, over the SOGI curriculum in schools throughout the province.
British Columbia is the only province in Canada in which a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) can be recalled. In order for this to be done, at least 40% of voters within the provincial electoral district of Surrey-Green Timbers, which is the electoral district represented by Rachna Singh, must validly sign the recall petition. Only voters who were Canadian citizens as of October 24, 2020, and whose place of residence was within the Surrey-Green Timbers riding (see map on the poster below) as of October 24, 2020, are eligible to sign this petition.
The final day of signature collection for the recall petition will be Monday, January 29, 2024.
For more information about signing the petition, please see the poster below or click here.
Volunteers are needed to help with the Recall Rachna Singh Campaign as canvassers by going door to door to collect signatures from eligible voters. For more information, click here or on the following link:
