Councillor Robert Parks

Strathcona County (Sherwood Park) - AB
Electoral District: Ward 1

Bio

Robert Parks
Not Supportable
CLC rating: Pro-lgbt ideology
Rating Comments: On September 14, 2019, Councillor Parks, who instigated the initial motion, voted to pass a reckless and draconain by-law that bans all forms of counseling that radical LGBT activists disingenuously define as "conversion therapy". The ban is likely to apply to all corporations, churches and non-profit associations within Stratchona County / Sherwood Park. This totalitarian ban now makes it illegal for people who experience unwanted gender identity confusion or same-sex attraction from being able to procure either clinical psychotherapy or spirtual counseling to overcome their unwanted condition or to leave the transsexual/gay lifestyle.

Councillor Parks also supports the Trudeau Liberals' iron-fisted federal Bill C-6 to ban conversion therapy throughout Canada, thus making all Canadians subject to the punishments of pro-lgbt enforcement legislation (see QUOTES tab).

Here are quotes from Robert Parks on various life and family issues:

Stating his support for the Trudeau Liberals' draconian Bill C-6 banning so-called "conversion therapy", which would punish therapists, pastors, and even parents for trying to protect children from the harmful behaviors and self-abusive practices of lgbt lifestyles:  “For us, (conversion therapy) was an issue that needed attention because it needs to end. We had heard it was happening in the community and I wanted to make it clear that it’s completely unacceptable." [Sherwood Park News, "Local MP to vote against Bill C-6", January 15, 2021]
