We need more parents to keep up the pressure
I have some encouraging news to share with you about the fight to get rid of the LGBT propaganda books in the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.
At least one parent has decided to delegate at the upcoming March 24th board meeting, which is fantastic, but here’s the thing …
We still need more people to step forward in order to step up the pressure on the trustees.
There were some incredible delegations at last month’s meeting, and I think they had a positive impact, but the WCDSB’s woke Director of Education, Tyrone Dowling, tried derailing the efforts.
How?
Well, he did it in the most heavy-handed way possible: he banned public observers from making recordings of the public board meeting! (It was the kind of thing you’d expect to see in Communist China!)
I wasn’t going to sit back, though, and take that kind of censorship lightly, so I went home, recorded my presentation, and shared it online.
The Catholic community in the K-W and Cambridge area have a right to know that their elementary schools are full of reading materials contrary to biblical and Church teachings – and which can lead young readers into embracing sin and rejecting the Word of God.
In my delegation to the board, I highlighted a number of troubling passages from the illicit books, such as:
- Sexualized and profanity-laden content from raunchy teen “romance” novels.
- Homosexual and Transgender propaganda books aimed at children between the ages of two to five years old.
- Books that encourage children to celebrate drag queens.
Here’s the link to that video in case you haven’t seen it yet.
There were three other delegations about the same topic last month, and that was amazing, but ...
We need to keep hammering away relentlessly with more delegations, month after month, and that’s why Campaign Life Coalition is putting out another call-to-action to our supporters.
Please apply to delegate!
We need more delegates to drive home the message that these LGBT propaganda books must be removed from every school in the WCDSB.
We first heard about these materials from a concerned parent and then we looked into it ourselves and saw how many of these books were available to students throughout the board – the sheer volume is mindboggling!
So please, consider registering as a delegate for the March 24th board meeting. To sign up, all you have to do is contact Stephanie Medeiros at [email protected].
The deadline is 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day.
If you want to speak out, but you aren’t sure what to say, don’t worry, we can help you frame your ideas for an effective presentation.
In the meantime, please keep the WCDSB trustees in your prayers, all the teachers and administrators, too, and the students. We’re engaged in a spiritual battle here against powers and principalities, as Scripture tells us, so our efforts must be rooted in the Holy Spirit.
