Kathleen Wynne wants Pride flags at Catholic schools
Remember how I wrote to you last week that Kathleen Wynne may be delegating at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) in favour of flying the Pride flag?
At the last minute, she was dropped from the agenda.
However, the former premier—who is directly responsible for much of the LGBTQ propaganda now in schools—is back on the agenda for tomorrow’s meeting:
To recap, at the By-Law/Policies Review Committee meeting, trustees voted 10-1 against Trustee Brea Corbet’s motion to fly Pride flags on any third flagpoles in the board and to permit Pride flags to be displayed within schools year-round. They instead voted 10-1 in favour of flying the DPCDSB flag on third flagpoles. (Where there are multiple flagpoles, the Canadian and Ontario flags are flown on the first and second.)
Because this was just a committee meeting though, the trustees need to vote again on this change to the flag protocol tomorrow at the 7 pm board meeting at the DPCDSB Catholic Education Centre.
This is where you come in. We can’t take for granted that the trustees will continue to vote the right way.
We know the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association is recruiting attendees for the meeting again.
We know LGBTQ activists will once again be pressuring the board to fly the Pride flag—and not just Wynne. The Countering Hate Committee, seemingly with Safe City Mississauga, is also delegating for some reason, raising the question of what they consider “hate.”
When influential players (with no connection to Catholic schools!) begin throwing their weight around, trustees might get nervous.
We need parents and other parental rights advocates to attend the meeting to support those delegates who will be defending the Cross and the Sacred Heart of Jesus as the only symbols necessary to express love and inclusion in the Catholic school system.
The board meeting is at 7 pm tomorrow, January 28, 2025, at the DPCDSB Catholic Education Centre (40 Matheson Blvd W, Mississauga).
Once again, please invite your pastor to accompany you to the meeting, so he can see for himself what’s going on.
Please wear red (for the Canadian flag and the Sacred Heart of Jesus) and maintain a quiet, prayerful disposition—especially during delegations or other speeches that are heretical or otherwise frustrating.
Please show up early, as well, to ensure you get a seat.
Not to sound like a broken record, but if you haven’t yet emailed the DPCDSB trustees, please do so! Ask them not only to say “no” to flying the Pride flag outside of DPCDSB buildings, but also to any Pride symbolism in the classroom—at any time of year.
