Report on the 2024 Million Person March

On Wednesday, September 20, 2024, the second Million Person March for Children, organized by “Hands off Our Kids,” was held across Canada and in several locations around the world.

Thank you to each and every one of you who made the sacrifice and went to your local march to demand: “Hands off our Kids.”

While the numbers in Canada were significantly down from last year, the message was still clear that parents of all faiths want their children protected from the dangers of LGBTQ indoctrination. Schools and all levels of government should stop normalizing transgenderism and the LGBTQ+ agenda and stop keeping secrets from parents.

This march brings together many different groups who stand and march for the rights of parents to educate their kids according to their own faith and morals. We may not be united in other political areas, but we can stand together to demand that schools and governments stop brainwashing students.

We need to work together to change the culture. How do we do this? We need to become school trustees, city councillors, MPPs, or MPs. We need to help form the laws and public opinion.

I would like to thank the organizers of the Million Person March for Children, especially Kamel El-Cheikh, the Muslim dad and Ottawa businessman who is continuing to stand up for parental rights. While there were many organizational hurdles and well-funded counter-protests this year, we acknowledge the hard work and determination of Hands Off Our Kids in continuing this important event.

Campaign Life Coalition helped to promote the march again this year and several members of our staff spoke in different locations.

OTTAWA

The main protest was at Parliament Hill in the nation’s capital and CLC’s Political Director Jack Fonseca spoke on the Hill.

One of the points Jack mentioned is that we are all Canadians gathering under one flag as one people under God, to protect our kids. We are responsible for our children; we have the God-given right to raise our childrennot the unelected bureaucrats and government employees wanting to push their immoral ideas.

 MISSISSAUGA

CLC’s Director of Education and Advocacy, Josie Luetke, spoke to the crowd in Mississauga, Ontario. Josie spoke about how advocacy from different groups was successful in preventing the Pride flag from being flown outside the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. Josie drove home that perseverance is the key to changing our culture.

MONTREAL

Campagne Quebec Vie was present in Montreal and Quebec City.

In Montreal, they were outnumbered by the opposition, who were aggressive and blocked the marchers from moving forward. Riot police intervened several times. In contrast, the marchers were organized, calm and chanted throughout the march.
