Ban the LGBT 'Pride' flag in York Catholic schools

Our records indicate that you live in York Region, which is why we need your help.

I know summer is here, and the school year is over, but I have to ask you to help us pass an incredibly important school board policy that was brought forward by one of the local Catholic school trustees.

Trustee Frank Alexander of the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) introduced a motion to ensure that only the Canadian, provincial, municipal, and Vatican flags can be displayed at any of its buildings, which is great!

The text of Trustee Alexander’s motion explains his motivation for doing so:

If this passes, it would effectively ban any school or administrative building from displaying the “pride” flag either outside or inside the premises.

The new policy was presented earlier this year, and follows a growing public resistance to LGBT propaganda in schools and on government buildings that is sweeping the country.

There was supposed to be a vote on Trustee Alexander’s motion back in January, but do you know what happened?

It ran into a rainbow roadblock.

LGBT activists pressured the YCDSB to slam the brakes, and the board caved to the pressure, sending the motion back to its Policy Review Committee.

What kind of manipulation is going on behind the scenes right now?

I don’t know, but our sources tell us the committee should have a response in the Fall.

That means we have a window of opportunity over the remainder of the summer, to persuade the Trustees to pass this wonderful policy! Let’s seize it.

TELL THE YCDSB TO GET THE LGBT “PRIDE” FLAG OUT OF THE SCHOOLS

The YCDSB trustees need to be reminded that the LGBT “pride” flag flies in the face of Catholic Teaching and is completely incompatible with the Faith that was handed down to us from Christ to His Apostles and their successors.

I’m worried that LGBT activists could persuade the Policy Review Committee to insert weasel words into Frank’s motion, and we’ll end up with a watered-down document which leaves the door open for LGBT flags.

Or maybe they’ll just vote to defeat the motion altogether!

So, we have to take action now.

Below is contact information for the trustees, along with the Director of Education. Please email and phone all of them if you can take the time.

Even if you’re not a Catholic, please contact them anyway, as a concerned citizen who wants to see the York Catholic School board remain authentically Catholic.

There’s no place for the LGBT propaganda symbol in the York Catholic District School Board. Church teaching clearly states that homosexual acts and transsexualism are gravely sinful.

The “Pride” flag, meanwhile, celebrates and promotes these disordered and unnatural behaviours, which are deeply offensive to God.

This is the reason why the YCDSB needs to pass this policy, to prevent the ideological, sin-laden “Pride” flag from being displayed at its buildings.

In order to demonstrate true Christian love, we must protect YCDSB students, staff and families from ideologies that can cause them to reject the word of God and His commandments, thus potentially depriving them of eternal life. To love someone, means to desire their total good, including, above all, their spiritual wellbeing.

So, please, contact the Trustees and Director of Education about this right away.

Phone them and leave a message if they don’t answer the phone.

Send them an email, too, and follow-up in a few days if they don’t get back to you.

Finally, if you’re willing to go the extra mile, please arrange a coffee meeting with your local YCDSB trustee to talk about the issue. If they agree to meet in person, it's the most effective method of convincing someone.

Alternately, if one of these trustees attends your church, or if you see them while shopping at the grocery store, approach them and talk about supporting Trustee Alexander’s motion.

And please …

Pray for all the students, teachers and families in the board, that they may experience an authentically Catholic school environment which will strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ and help them to grow in their love for the Church and her teachings. Ultimately, this is the only thing that can make their lives healthy, happy and fulfilled.
