Attend a Pray-In on June 3
In additional to the National “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Day(s), occurring from May 31-June 4, we are also organizing another event!
If you don’t have a child in school or are looking for additional ways to respond to Gay Pride in a caring, Christian manner, I invite you to attend one of our pray-ins on Monday, June 3.
What is a “pray-in”?
We will peacefully stand along public sidewalks for one hour, quietly praying for a return to humility and chastity. Some may choose to hold a CLC-provided sign. If you’ve ever participated in a Life Chain, the pray-in is very similar. We’re not there to start arguments, but to provide a loving and firm witness.
Who’s invited?
While the pray-ins outside Catholic school boards/dioceses will have a Catholic focus, there were non-Catholics who joined us last year! Anyone, regardless of faith, is welcome to stand in solidarity with us, whether or not you wish to hold a sign or pray. The only requirement is to commit to being peaceful, law-abiding, and respectful. Please follow the directives of the organizer(s) on-site.
Where are the pray-ins happening?
A list of locations is included below. The school boards listed are just a handful of those that fly the Gay Pride flag in Ontario. Elmvale’s pray-in is located on the main road in town, between two public schools that celebrate Pride. We will also be witnessing outside a couple of diocesan offices.
Why are we holding pray-ins?
Because we love everyone, including those who identify as LGBTQ, and we don’t want to see anyone deceived by the LGBTQ agenda. Every child is made male or female, in the image and likeness of God, and we don’t want to see them confused about their gender identity. If someone struggles with same-sex attraction, he or she needs to be encouraged to be chaste (just like everyone is called to chastity!) and taught that engaging in same-sex relations is sinful.
Unfortunately, the Pride flag only sows confusion. It is irreconcilable with Christian teachings. The appropriate symbol of compassion and inclusion is the cross, not the rainbow flag. We are holding Catholic school boards to account for betraying the teachings of the faith, and also calling for spiritual leadership. While some bishops have spoken out already, we would like to see all of them explicitly and publicly demand that all “Catholic” institutions within their respective jurisdictions cease to celebrate Pride all together.
We believe that prayer works, which is why we’re praying. And we are praying in public to provide visible opposition to Gay Pride. We are willing to summon the courage to stand up—to demonstrate that there is dissent. As pervasive as the Pride flag will be in just a week’s time, we want people to know that it remains controversial in Canada.

It is easy to feel as if we can do nothing against the LGBTQ leviathan, that our culture is lost, and our country in ruin. Do not despair; do not give up hope. Embrace the cross.
If I can make one last request—please invite your friends, family, fellow Knights of Columbus or Catholic Women’s League members, pastor, etc., to participate in the pray-in too. Please share this information in your WhatsApp groups.
See you on June 3.
