Wab Kinew’s NDP government has a plan that is 100% guaranteed to lead to the killing of more pre-born children in Manitoba via abortion.

There is a window for us to try and stop it, but we have to take action.

Wab Kinew’s NDP made an election campaign pledge to have the Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living Services Insurance Plan (MHSIP) cover the full cost of prescription contraceptives …

This includes oral contraceptives, hormonal injections, copper IUDs, and abortifacient drugs like Plan B.

There are a lot of problems with this.

First of all, you and I both know that pregnancy isn’t an injury, illness, or disease, which is why contraceptives have always been excluded from coverage for most Manitobans.

This is about using already scarce taxpayer dollars to safeguard sexual lifestyle choices, and it will result in the killing of even more preborn babies.

Why?

Because the contraceptive mentality is one of the root causes of abortion.

In fact, all the research shows how increased use of contraceptives leads to more, not fewer abortions.

As individuals in a society become reliant on contraceptives, many of them inevitably turn to abortion as a “back-up birth control method” when the contraception eventually fails, as it’s prone to doing.

So, if Manitoba makes contraception even easier to access, it will cause the number of abortions to actually increase: That means more babies will be killed in their mothers' wombs …

And we can’t let that happen.

Insuring contraceptive pills and devices through the health care system is sure to be a top priority for Premier Kinew because his NDP campaigned on a promise for “universal contraception” in the last election.

How fast are they going to try and ram this through?

I don’t know.

The Legislature isn’t scheduled to reconvene until Wednesday, March 6th, so that’s the good news.

For the next little while, your local MLA won’t be busy with their legislative duties in Winnipeg, so that means they should have more time to interact with their constituents.
