Catholic school trustee promotes anti-Catholic ideology

A dissident Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) trustee has just taken another step into the abyss of heresy by promoting child-abusive, transgender ideology.
Earlier this month, Etobicoke Ward 2 Trustee Markus de Domenico posted a message on X / Twitter to promote the anti-Christian, child-grooming ideology of transgenderism.
That a Catholic would support sexual practices that are a moral abomination and are clearly against biblical truth and the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is outrageous. This alone makes Mr. De Domenico unfit to serve as a Catholic school trustee.
Yet even on the most broadly human level, transgenderism, particularly among children, amounts to the cruel butchery of youngsters' healthy bodies in order to perpetuate the mental illness or immature fixations of those who suffer from gender identity disorder.
The name "transgender" itself is false, since it is actually transsexual fetishism and delusion that lies behind this pernicious, child-harming movement -- a devilishly sly movement that has coined the slogan "gender-affirming care" as a sugar-coated talking-point to make palatable the sexual mutilation of children.
"Gender-affirming care" includes:
- Pumping children full of puberty-blocking chemicals to stunt their natural biological development. These powerful drugs make bones brittle, can cause osteoporosis, and can induce infertility.
- Bombarding the youngsters with cross-sex hormones that will cause abnormal growths and unnatural characteristics to appear on their bodies. These powerful hormones are carcinogenic and elevate the risk of various cancers.
- Performing surgeries to amputate and disfigure children's healthy body parts, including the sexual organs of boys and the breasts of girls.
How can any morally fit person think that this butchery would be a desirable outcome for a child, or something to be celebrated by "Trans Awareness Week"?
Markus de Domenico must be voted out
The next Ontario Municipal Elections, which include local school board trustee contests across the province, are scheduled for October 2026. That gives CLC and our supporters plenty of lead time to organize in advance for Trustee De Domenico's removal.
In the last school board election, a faithful Catholic named Gabriella Mazarakis ran against De Domenico, and almost succeeded in toppling him! She lost by only 617 votes out of almost 10,000 ballots cast, and captured 47% of the vote.
We are hopeful that Gabriella will run again, especially after having come so close to winning. But whether it's her, or another faithful Catholic, we must be prepared to displace the pro-trans ideology De Domenico.
A big part of preparing for our next opportunity to remove Trustee De Domenico is to educate more Catholic ratepayers, especially churchgoers, about his evil actions as a trustee. Therefore, I ask you to share this email with every faithful Catholic you know in Toronto. Hopefully, you know many in TCDSB Ward 2.
Finally, please pray for Markus de Domenico, that he will be enlightened by the Lord to recognize the evil he is promoting. Remember: the first movement of God's grace is conversion.
