Judge renders decision on TCDSB election recount

I have some good news and some bad news for you about the latest developments in the legal drama facing Robert Pella.

Let’s get to the good news first.

Pella, a faithful Catholic trustee candidate, has been awarded a partial recount of the ballots from last year’s municipal election where he was running to become the trustee for Ward 1 in the Toronto Catholic District School Board.

He allegedly lost that contest by a single vote to the woke-incumbent trustee, Joseph Martino.

On election night last October, Pella went to bed with a seven-vote lead, believing he won.

Then, in the dark of the night, something unexpected happened.

Like I said, it looked as though the race was a lock for Pella, based on the results after polls had closed, but somehow that lead vanished into thin air, and, the morning after, the script was flipped and Martino was declared victorious, but …

We’re talking about a victory of only one ballot!

Something about this dark of night vote-flip didn’t sit right with Robert, and he thought it would only be fair if the all ballots were reviewed. But he had to fight in court if he wanted a recount, and that’s exactly what he did.

So, the good news is that an Ontario Justice has ruled in favour of having a partial recount on some of the ballots!

Is this decision precisely what Pella was hoping for?

No, not exactly. He wanted all the ballots recounted, but …

There’s a chance this could help change the results and …

Lead to the defeat of Mr. Martino, an incumbent who voted in favour of anti-Christian policies promoting “gender fluidity” and flying the LGBT Pride flag at TCDSB schools.

The bad news?

It’s possible that this limited recount won’t be enough to move the needle, but do you know what?

It’s worth taking a shot!

Why?

Because there’s a chance here and we have to take it.

We won’t leave any stone unturned when it comes to trying to elect pro-life and pro-family candidates to positions where they can make a difference ...

But this legal battle has come at a tremendous expense already, and it may grow if he decides to appeal this lower court judge’s decision. Robert’s lawyers are considering the merits of an appeal to a higher court, in order to try getting a more favorable ruling. This is why Robert needs your help.

Now, if you already made a contribution to help Mr. Pella, then thank you.

If you haven’t, then please, if it’s within your means, take this opportunity to donate today and help Robert to cover his legal expenses.

Make no mistake …

This isn’t entirely about the result of one election here.

This is about principles.

This is about stepping up and helping to fight the legal battles that develop on the front lines of the Culture Wars.

It’s about helping pro-lifers, men like Robert, who take the bold step of entering the political arena to defend a Christ-centric, Bible-based morality …

And the kinds of life and family values that are under constant attack in the public square, especially in the classroom.

So please, donate today and remember to keep Robert in your prayers.

God bless.
