Call Your Premier to Suspend Abortion During COVID-19

Message to the Premier:
I want to express my concerns about the premier's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our government leaders have called for urgent action to fight the coronavirus. As a result, many people have lost jobs, lost income, and are being forced to self-isolate for the sake of protecting the vulnerable and securing our health care system. Many people have had important surgeries and medical procedures cancelled or postponed.
We have all had to sacrifice a lot, which is why I was shocked to hear that the premier is giving special treatment to one political cause. The premier continues to allow our limited medical resources and dollars to be used for elective abortion, a totally non-essential procedure. Medical supplies and equipment are being needlessly wasted. Doctors, nurses, and other medical support workers are being needlessly occupied. Those supplies, equipment, and medical professionals must be redeployed onto the front lines of our present battle against COVID-19, where they are needed most! Why are "pro-choice" individuals allowed to choose elective abortion while all other Canadians have no choice about their medical care during this crisis? It does not make sense.
Please do not be deceived by what some political activists are saying. Despite their claims, abortion is not an essential service. Abortion is not a prescribed medical treatment for any ailment whatsoever. Pregnancy is not a "disease" that needs to be "cured". Or does the premier believe that pregnancy is a disease?
According to a group of 30,000 doctors, "Elective abortion is neither 'essential' nor 'urgent,' but it does consume critical resources such as masks, gloves, and other personal protective equipment, and unnecessarily exposes patients and physicians to pathogens." These doctors are calling on governments everywhere to suspend all surgical and chemical abortions during this COVID-19 crisis.
The premier has been telling us we all need to take drastic measures - we all must sacrifice. Well, the same goes for the pro-abortion, "pro-choice" community.
It is obvious to everyone - and it should be obvious to the premier: now is not the time for politics as usual. Now is not the time to prioritize elective abortion over essential health care. Now is not the time to pander to the pro-abortion lobby. The lives of thousands of citizens depend on this. I am asking the premier to please make the unpopular but necessary decision to suspend all abortion services and close all abortion facilities immediately. Thank you.
