Bio

Jo-Ann Davis
Not Supportable
CLC rating: Pro-LGBT activist, anti-Catholic dissenter
Rating Comments: When she served as a Trustee in the past, Davis repeatedly voted in a manner that had the effect of undermining Catholic doctrine and moral teaching. Click the VOTES tab to view her anti-Catholic voting record. It is worth noting that on Davis' 2014 campaign literature, she included an endorsement by Glen Murray, the fiercely anti-Catholic MPP for Toronto Centre. Glen Murray is a practicing homosexual and militant gay-activist who, during a session of the legislature at Queen's Park, read aloud from a section of the Catechism of the Catholic Church dealing with homosexuality, and then issued a threat to the Bishops of Ontario, saying they can no longer teach Catholic doctrine in Catholic schools. Why Trustee Davis would print that man's endorsement on her election campaign literature raises serious questions about her judgement and fitness to be a Catholic education leader in any capacity. In her 2010 literatures, she was endorsed by the rabidly, pro-abortion MP, Bob Rae. She was also in a video endorsement with MP Carolyn Bennet, one of the most strident advocates for the dismemberment of pro-born children, and an outspoken promoter of homosexual marriage. It is not unreasonable to question the judgement of a Catholic seeking to serve the Church as a trustee in a religious school, who would seek or accept the endorsement of such rabidly, pro-abortion, anti-Catholic politicans.

During the June 2018 Ontario Provincial election, Ms. Davis ran for the LIberal Party in the riding of University-Rosedale, but did not win.
