Ottawa Catholic School Board - ON
Electoral District: Zone 07 (Wards 7 & 15)
Bio
CLC rating: Pro-lgbt ideology
Rating Comments: In May 2021, Trustee Wittet betrayed the duties of a Catholic trustee to uphold the Faith when he voted in favour of an outlandish, anti-Catholic motion to fly the homosexual Pride flag at the Catholic Education Centre and all Catholic schools in the Ottawa board (see Votes tab).
Mr. Wittet won the trustee's seat by acclamation during the 2018 Ontario municipal elections. He has previously run for trustee in the public school system (Ottawa-Carleton District School Board; Grand Erie District School Board) but had never responded to CLC's election questionnaire.
