Our 2025 Theme:
PROTECTION AT CONCEPTION

Human rights begin when human life begins, and human life begins at conception.  

Each of us can trace our origins back to our time in the womb; you were once a fetus, and before that, an embryo, and you began your life as a single-celled zygote.  

There is a scientific consensus on this matter. A survey done of over 5000 biologists found that 96% agreed that life begins at fertilization (or conception—the terms mean the same thing).   

Unfortunately, Canada has instead arbitrarily and unscientifically chosen to provide human beings protection only after birth (and even then, this protection is patchwork, as infanticide and euthanasia are sometimes permitted).
